SOS Meals on Wheels employs a staff of 2 full time and 30 part time workers and a cadre of about 25 volunteers to provide meal delivery service for 550 homebound seniors every weekday. 

  • Five kitchen workers begin preparing food at 5:00 am.
  • Eighteen drivers and fifteen volunteers package the meals for delivery. 
  • The food service manager oversees meal production.
  • The project coordinator manages the drivers and their routes.
  • The accountant manages the finances.
  • Two assessment evaluators visit seniors to evaluate their needs.
  • A part-time administrative assistant handles office tasks with the help of several volunteers.
  • The Executive Director Connie McCabe overseas all aspects of the operation.
